ABOUT THE DAN LEACH MEMORIAL FUND
ABOUT DAN
DAN LEACH - A STRANGER TO NONE
A gentleman and positive optimist, Dan Leach was an avid member of the Boulder City community since 1983. He knew no stranger and was the absolute epitome of an extrovert. He was as much a community coach as a loving cheerleader with the philosophy that all children should have someone cheering for them.
Husband to Laura for 24 years and father to Alexandra and Chris, he believed every child should be privileged to live lives like his children.
Dan Leach, who honorably performed 25 years of service in Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department as a corrections officer, will forever be remembered as the man who could solve any problem with a bologna sandwich --- and a carton of milk.
ABOUT OUR ORGANIZATION
Dan Leach was a much loved member of the Boulder City community, a dedicated family man and a career law enforcement officer with the Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department. After his untimely death in November 2009, family members, friends, co-workers and countless strangers began donating money in his name, thus creating the Dan Leach Memorial Fund.
Throughout his adult life, Dan had a passion for youth activities and firmly believed that involving youths in activity had significant and positive influences by both protecting young people from problem behaviors, as well as promoting positive attitudes and behaviors.
To honor Dan and support his philosophy, the mission of the Dan Leach Memorial fund is to provide the financial means

for children in our community to get involved in whatever youth activity inspires them, whether it is a sporting activity, music, art, dance, etc.
