GRANT APPLICATIONS

HOW TO APPLY

We believe in the future well-being of our children. The Dan Leach Memorial Fund recognizes that children who are engaged and involved in their schools and communities are more likely to grow up to be successful and healthy adults. We want to ensure that every child in our community has the opportunity to play a sport, dance, sing, learn an instrument, or do whatever excites and engages them!

We also recognize that in these financially trying times, the

money for such activities may be a luxury that many families simply cannot afford. If your child or someone you know is in need of such support, please send them our way.

Individual grants are available for Southern Nevada area students K-12th grade. Please complete all sections of the application available through the button below and submit it to the Dan Leach Memorial Fund for review.

Applications can be sent to us via US Mail at: Dan Leach Memorial Fund, PO Box 60184, Boulder City, NV 89006 or via email to contact@dlmf.org.

A letter of acceptance or denial will be sent within two weeks of our receipt of your application.  Please note that checks will be written to the organization sponsoring the event or activity, not the individual applying for the grant.

LETTERS OF APPRECIATION

On behalf of Brittany and the Recreation Department, thank you for helping James to continue his horseback riding and jujitsu classes. - Patty

Just a quick note to say "thank you" for providing the grant allowed my son, Jeffrey, to wrestle this year as a Boulder City Junior Eagle wrestler. I am very committed to keeping Jeffrey, a 6th grader, engaged in sports year-round so he doesn't have time to get involved in "unhealthy" activities. However, participating on sports teams gets expensive and I can't alawys afford the fees. With the grant you provided, Jeffrey wouldn't have been able to participate in wrestling this year. This was only his second year wrestling and it was the first year he actually won any matches and he even won a medal at one of his tournaments. He was so excited and can't wait to wrestle again next year. I am truly grateful for what you made possible for him and hope to one day be in a position to donate back to the fund so someone else can benefit like Jeffrey did. Thank you so much! - Judith

Thank you to your amazing foundation for making my son's dream come to life!! From the bottom of my heart, I thank you ALL!! - Nancy

Thank you very much for the funds to do several activities this year. I got to go to two camps, both of which were Boy Scout camps where we got to do several activities like surfing, boating, hiking, and archery. I also got to play soccer this fall season which was very fun. This year I got to do loads of fun stuff that wouldn't have happened without the funds. Thank you again for reaching out and allowing me to enjoy all of these activities. - Adam

Thank you so much for your generous gift for Alex. It is very important for us to keep the children active in school and sports. With your generosity, he will be able to play football this fall. Thank you. - Stephanie

I would like to convey my deepest appreciation of your very generous donation toward my swim meet that I attended in December. It was a truly unexpected gift. Again, thank you for helping me to participate in this event, as it was a very successful time for me as an athlete. My sincerest appreciation... - Aaron

Our sincere thanks for funding our daughter's trip. Without your help, she would not have been able to have the rich experience that she did. She was one of only three violinists on the trip, so I'm sure her orchestra buddies were grateful as well. Thanks again! - Emily's Family

Thank you so much for the financial support. This will be a wonderful opportunity for me and I am so very thankful for the aid received from the Dan Leach Memorial Fund. We are excited for the trip and appreciate your help. - Danielle
